Bubble Boy!

Ok people.. It's update time!

As you've noticed my blogging has slowly become less and less. Why you ask? Because having a 2 year old and an almost 7 month old is ALOT of work! By the time I get them down for the night all I want to do is plop down in a chair and relax. Ofcourse it's all worth it though. Tenley is getting close to crawling and she's just so darn cute. She loves to bounce and blow bubbles.

Speaking of bubbles.. Brady loves to blow bubbles, too!

This is Brady's "I'll steal your girlfriend" look. Ohhhh the many faces of Brady.

IT'S RECIPE TIME!!!!

Beef Stroganoff is one of our favorite meals! It's pretty easy and SO AMAZING! You HAVE to try this, seriously.

You will need:

  • 1 1/2 pounds cubed round steak, cut into thin strips
  • All-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 8 ounces fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 (10 3/4-ounce) can beef broth
  • 1 (10 3/4-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • Salt and black pepper
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Cooked egg noodles
  • salt
  • pepper
  • garlic powder

Cut the steak into long, thin strips and season generously with salt, pepper and garlic powder. Toss the steak lightly in flour while heating up the olive oil in a skillet. Quickly brown them on both sides and then set aside. Heat the butter in the skillet then add the onion and mushroom. Saute for a few minutes then sprinkle a light layer of flour on top. Add the steak, cream of mushroom soup and beef broth. Cover and cook on low heat for 30 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste and add the sour cream. Serve over egg noodles and then call to thank me for this delicious recipe!

Yummmmm.

On a more serious note we need your prayers! As most of you know Jared is trying to move over to Drill Sgt. so we can spend the remainder of his time here. We really don't want to move again and I REALLY don't want to go through another deployment. Hopefully we will get some good news about this soon!

On a brighter note my parents will be coming to visit next weekend! They are also going to watch the kids while we go spend the weekend at Callaway Gardens for our 3rd Anniversary! We have some fun stuff planned... I can't wait!!

Well I don't know about yall but I'm so glad it's Friday! I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Bear-y cute little girl!

Hey ya'll!

Sorry I have been slacking on my blogging! We have been so busy lately. Tenley is 6 months old now and I swear she is already such a handful! Being a stay at home mom has definitely stepped up a notch now.. There's never a dull moment! We can't wait to see her grow up.. I have a feeling she is going to be such a cute mess just like her brother.

I haven't taken pictures since Valentines Day until today. I wanted to wait until my new computer came in so I could order my new presets for photoshop.. but I just couldn't wait any longer! I just snapped these really quick of Tenley today and thought they were cute.. Well, I thought SHE was cute.

I have a fun idea for pictures with Brady, too. I really hope the rain holds off tomorrow so we can go out and take some!

I also don't know how many times lately that I've been cooking and thought "ughh I wish I had my camera so I could blog about it!" Since my camera was already downstairs tonight I grabbed a picture of our dinner. Tonight was something a little crazy that I have been wanting to try for years. Proooobably won't be making this again but Jared said he liked it!!

You are probably wondering what this is, right? It's a fried egg-bacon-peanut butter hamburger. It was surprisingly good.. but I think it would have been better as one of those mini slider hamburgers! And yes.. this is probably the strangest thing I've ever made. I would give the recipe for this but 1.) It's pretty self explanatory and 2.) I'm 99% sure that nobody will every try this!

I have also officially started Operation-lose-the-baby-weight! (I HAVE been cooking healthy except for that crazy hamburger) I've been working out every afternoon and drinking meal replacement shakes for lunch. Yumm. I have already lost 5lbs though! I'm determined to get back into my high school jeans.. wherever they may be!

Well I hope everyone has a great rest of the week and weekend!
